We recently purchased Adobe’s new photo managment tool, Lightroom. I’ve used various programs to manage photos and I’ve got to say that Lightroom is by far my favorite. Adobe, as is usually the case, did a great job really meeting the workflow needs of a photographer.

One of my favorite features of the tool is its ability to easily export to web galleries, including HTML and Flash. This features allows you to select your photos, select the template, and export. It is extremely easy and fast – which is one of the reasons I like it so much.

Also, it has several nice built-in galleries, which are all customizable. Even better, though, is that others on the web are starting to put together additional galleries, many of which are just great. One of the best sites on the web to find free Lightroom web galleries is at http://www.lightroomgalleries.com/. The following are links to 5 of my favorite web galleries. I loaded about 10 pictures from a recent trip our family took to Breckenridge to highlihght what each can do.

Gallery 1: This gallery allows users to post comments about the photos. This works great if you need to allow the folks viewing your photos to see what others are saying about your photos.

Gallery 2: This gallery displays the photos in a fun scrolling bar.

Gallery 3: This gallery is one of my personal favorites, especially for galleries highlighting vacations or other fun events. It displays them all in a postcard kind of view.

Gallery 4: This fairly standard gallery displays the pictures in columns and rows, allowing you to enlarge selected photos.

Gallery 5: This gallery is another flavor of Gallery 4.
