The G9 is great - one of the best purchases I've made in a while. I'm able to capture images that would normally be lost because I didn't have a camera at all.

Thanks for the comment!

Brian,
Looking great! No matter where you are there is always beauty to capture, this displays that nicley! So simple, but most good pictures are. I feel it gives the viewer a chance to daydream and to wonder. You said you took the pic at dusk but to me it feels like the first light of dawn. It gives a feeling of quiteness before before the day. I like. How is the G9 treating you?

A bit of the vignette was from the shot - a bit more was added in Lightroom.

I'm looking at the blog now and it is working - the CSS may have loaded slowly when you came in...

Hey Brian, I love this shot. As Tammy said, the simplicity of it really makes the composition very powerful. A single anchor point with that awesome deep blue is great. Nice vignette touch too - was that from the lens or in post process?

Also, as a heads up, I noticed the blog has gone to all grey. The text is a little trickier to read - is this a CSS thing or did you intend to make the change?

Beautiful shot!! There is so much peace when you look at this photo I think because of its simplicity.
